Pastor Josh Blankenship

I was raised in Floyd, VA and am excited to be pastoring in my hometown!  I do not have an impressive resume, or a list of impressive accomplishments; however I do have the The Lord Jesus Christ, and He has lead me here to Faith Baptist Church in Check, VA. My wife and I were married on June 18, 2012, and we have four boys that God has blessed us with. I surrendered to the call on my life in July 2014, and I served as Youth/Assistant Pastor at Auburn Baptist Church prior to accepting the call here at Faith Baptist Church in August 2020. I spent many years as a traveling musician thinking that would be my career, but thank God He had other plans. This world needs the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and I will preach the Word of God unapologetically and pursue the lost souls that need Christ here in Check and in Floyd County. Our church is a growing church on fire for the Lord, and we would love to have you serve with us as we continue to fight the good fight of faith until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
